Individualised Living Options (ILO) Mornington Peninsula

Live the way you choose, with support designed around you rather than a roster.

Support that fits your life

ILO

ILO in Frankston and on the Mornington Peninsula

Individualised Living Options (ILO) is NDIS funding for a home and living arrangement designed around you. Instead of a shared house with rostered staff, ILO might mean living with a host, sharing with a housemate who gives some support, or living on your own with support from people you know. Parcare Lifestyle designs and supports ILO on the Mornington Peninsula and in Frankston. Our Victorian office support is based in Carrum Downs, and our support workers live in Frankston South, Carrum Downs, Skye and Blairgowrie.

How ILO works

  1. Exploration and design. We work with you, your family and your support coordinator on how and where you want to live, and who with.
  2. Setting it up. We find and screen the right host or housemate, agree the arrangement, and put back-up support in place.
  3. Ongoing support. We check in regularly, support the host or housemate, and adjust as your life changes.

Who ILO suits

ILO suits people who want more independence and a home life built around relationships, often people moving out of the family home for the first time. If you need significant support through the day and night, SIL may fit better. Read SIL, ILO and SDA explained.

Questions people ask

Not here? Call 0468 032 653 and talk to a real person.

How do I get ILO funding?

ILO is requested through the NDIA with a home and living request. It is usually funded first for exploration and design, then for the support model once the arrangement is worked out.

What is the difference between ILO and SIL?

SIL funds rostered support in a home, often shared. ILO funds an arrangement designed around one person, usually built on a host, housemate or a small group of people you know.

Does ILO pay rent?

No. Like SIL, ILO funds support, not housing. Rent and living costs are your own, often paid from the Disability Support Pension and Commonwealth Rent Assistance.

How do I get started?

Send a referral or call us. A participant, family member, support coordinator or hospital discharge planner can refer. We call back, talk through your goals and plan, and match you with a worker who lives close by.
