Community Access Support Workers in Logan and Brisbane
Community access is a support worker who goes with you: to appointments, shopping, work, study, sport, or a regular day out. Parcare Lifestyle provides 1:1 community access across Logan, Brisbane and Redland City, and through our Melbourne branch. What a community access worker does
- Drives or travels with you, in our vehicle or yours, and helps with the door to door parts of the day.
- Supports personal care, medication and meals while you are out.
- Backs you up in new or busy places until you are confident on your own.
- Keeps to your plan and your goals, and writes a short note after each shift.
The right worker
We match on skills, personality, interests and, where it matters, culture and language, and we keep the same workers wherever we can. If a match is not working, tell us and we change it.
Funding
Community access is funded from the Core budget of your NDIS plan under Assistance with Social and Community Participation. Transport is claimed at the NDIS rate and agreed with you up front.
