SIL from a registered NDIS provider: support with daily life in a home that is yours, with Parcare workers rostered around your routines, day and night.
What SIL covers
Supported Independent Living funds the support you need at home: personal care, meals, medication prompts, household tasks, getting out into the community and support overnight. It is paid from the Core supports in your NDIS plan. SIL pays for support, not rent: rent and board are paid separately from your own income.

How a Parcare SIL home works
- A roster built from your plan: the support hours your plan funds, set around your routines
- Matched workers: chosen for skills, personality, interests and cultural background
- Support on site day and night, with sleepover workers overnight
- Your tenancy stays yours: housing and supports are separate agreements, so changing providers never means losing your home
- A Parcare community: outings, group activities and catch ups for anyone who wants them, never required
SIL price limits in 2026-27
SIL is quoted against the NDIS price limit for each time of day and the level of support. In 2026-27 the national limit for standard weekday daytime SIL is $73.58 an hour (01_801_0115_1_1), with higher limits for evenings, nights, weekends, public holidays and high intensity support. Your quote shows every line before you agree to it.
What is Supported Independent Living?
SIL is NDIS funding for help with daily tasks in a shared or individual home, usually with support available for most of the day and overnight. It funds the support, not the rent.
Who can get SIL funding?
The NDIA funds SIL when it agrees it is reasonable and necessary for you, usually when you need support for much of the day. A support coordinator can help you with a home and living request.
Can I keep my home if I change SIL providers?
With Parcare, yes. Your tenancy and your supports are separate agreements.
How do I apply for a SIL vacancy in Brisbane?
