Community access
Community participation in Frankston and on the Peninsula
Parcare Lifestyle delivers NDIS community access in Frankston and across the Mornington Peninsula. Our Victorian office support is based in Carrum Downs, and our support workers live in Frankston South, Carrum Downs, Skye and Blairgowrie. Community access is about doing the things you want to do outside the house, and building the confidence to do more of them yourself.
What it can look like
- Shopping, cafes and catching up with friends at the Frankston Waterfront, Bayside Shopping Centre or Karingal Hub
- Swimming, the gym or classes at PARC, and all abilities sport with local clubs
- Getting to work, volunteering, TAFE or uni and building the routine to keep it going
- Walks at the Seaford Wetlands, the Pines or along the bay
- Learning to catch the train or the 788 bus on your own
Transport
Our workers can drive you to activities and appointments. Provider travel and transport are claimed in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and set out in your service agreement before support starts, so there are no surprises.
Life skills along the way
Every outing is a chance to build skills: budgeting, planning a trip, ordering, managing a timetable. If your goals include more independence, we build that into the support and note your progress after each shift.

Which part of my plan pays for community access?
Usually Core Supports, under Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation. Life skills training can also come from Capacity Building. We check your plan with you first.
Does the NDIS pay for the activity itself?
The NDIS funds the support to take part. Entry fees, tickets, memberships and meals are usually your own cost, as they would be for anyone. We tell you upfront what is and is not claimable.
Can a worker take me in their car?
Yes, where it is set up in your service agreement. Our workers drive to appointments and activities across Frankston and the Peninsula.
How do I get started?
Send a referral or call us. A participant, family member, support coordinator or hospital discharge planner can refer. We call back, talk through your goals and plan, and match you with a worker who lives close by.
Can I change from my current provider to Parcare?
Yes. Your plan stays the same; you only change who delivers the supports. We set up a service agreement with you, agree a start date with your current provider and keep your routine going while the handover happens.
